'Tina: The Tina Turner Musical'

Fans of Tina Turner will witness her comeback story unfold on the theater stage through a soundtrack of her legendary tunes. You'll experience the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll — a woman who left her mark with 12 Grammys and as one of the world's best-selling artists — in a fresh way this fall. The musical is written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Katori Hall.

"Tina Turner Musical" runs from Oct. 11 to 13.

'Mean Girls'

The musical "Mean Girls" tours to The Playhouse on Rodney Square in Wilmington from Nov. 15-17, 2024.

If you enjoyed the sassy comedic film "Mean Girls," then this hot musical version should be up your alley. The show follows Cady Heron, who grew up in African savanna and starts a new life in suburban Illinois. This new kid on the block gets pounced on by three frenemies, led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. Cady’s goal is to take down this Queen Bee, but the only way she can do it is by getting stung in the process.

This musical involves an award-winning creative team that includes book writer Tina Fey (“30 Rock”), composer Jeff Richmond (“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”), lyricist Nell Benjamin ("Legally Blonde") and original director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw ("The Book of Mormon").

"Mean Girls" runs Nov. 15 to 17.

'The Cher Show'

"The Cher Show" musical will come to The Playhouse on Rodney Square in Wilmington from Jan. 31 to Feb. 1, 2025.

Living legend Cher gets a namesake Broadway show that celebrates her dominance as a pop icon over six decades. Three actresses play Cher (the kid starting out, the pop star, and finally the icon) in this show that delivers 35 smash hits, two rock-star husbands, a Grammy, an Oscar, an Emmy, plus "enough Tony Award-winning Bob Mackie gowns to cause a sequin shortage in New York City," according to press materials.

"The Cher Show" runs Jan. 31 to Feb. 1, 2025.

Dear Evan Hansen

"Dear Evan Hansen" tours to The Playhouse on Rodney Square in Wilmington from April 11-13, 2025.

The Washington Post stamped "Dear Evan Hansen" as being "one of the most remarkable shows in musical theater history." The musical has garnered praise for looking at our social media-filled lives and the complex world we live in, through the lens of parents and young people.

The show's soundtrack is by the Tony, Grammy, and Oscar-winning team behind "The Greatest Showman" and "La La Land," Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, plus a book by Tony Award-winner Steven Levenson.

"Dear Evan Hansen" runs April 11 to 13.
